finetune: player test:
finetune.com seems good. They aren't too "mainstream" (they even have Fugazi) and you can build your own playlist. A playlist has to have 45+ songs for you (or anyone) to play, and you can choose only three songs from the same musician/band in a list. I personally think last.fm is better to get to know something new to you, but if you want an iPod alternative and you are nailed to your computer for a long time, finetune.com will do.
Full playlist is here. Some from the list ... (in alphabetical order)
Bloc Party: Banquet
Blur: Bad Day
Deus: Nightshopping
Flaming Lips: Slow Nerve Action
Fugazi: Repeater
Goldfrapp: Twist
Happy Mondays: Kinky Afro
Hawkwind: Brainstorm
Killing Joke: Eighties
Led Zeppelin: Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
MC5: Come Together
New Order: Crystal
Nine Inch Nails: Sin
Nirvana: Love Buzz
Placebo: Pure Morning
Portishead: Strangers
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Knock Me Down
Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter
Soundgarden: Mind Riot
The Charlatans: Feel Flows
The Clash: Rock the Casbah
The Cult: She Sells Sanctuary
The Smiths: How Soon Is It Now?
The Stooges: No Fun
The Velvet Underground: Cool It Down
I have some other playlist. At first I had everything in one place, and the result was just awful: Discharge, Dead Kennedys, then Kylie, then Helmet, then VU ... So I separated the list. The one above is some "pop" songs (no Ministry, no DK, no Discharge).
One thing ... they actually have Fugazi, but why don't they have the Red Medicine album??? (T T)
And if you are looking for a Coil, search for "Alternative Press Presents Industrial Strength - Machine Music" album. I'm surprised to find this there! They also have some Throbbing Gristle but they don't have Crass.

It's how "緑" was composed, and you'll see the 糸 part on the left in this pic is authentic.

This doesn't count as Engrish because it's a spelling error.

Yurakucho, Tokyo.
This pub is a chain. According to their website, they have eight in Tokyo - 新橋、汐留、赤坂、秋葉原、有楽町、神田、上野 and 新宿, and one in Osaka. I've been to the one in Ueno, and I knew it's a chain, but never imagined so many. They seem to be a Suntory franchise, which means there are no Guinness (teamed up with Sapporo).
Also they are teamed up with VisitLondon.com in their "London Bunny Republic" - I don't know what it is except that it is an official "visit London" tourism campaign.
