やまざくら（山桜; Cerasus jamasakura） is a wild cherry native to Japan. やま (山) means "mountain" or "hill". Somehow I personally prefer やまざくら to ソメイヨシノ.

今年は開花から満開までの間が気温が低くて日数がかかって、満開になったら気温が高い状態が数日続いているせいか、ソメイヨシノが大島桜状態、花と若葉のセットになっている枝がとても多い。
