ガラスに映りこんでいるビル（第一生命ビル）も取り壊し予定物件。
1階部分は壁面に角度がついていて、じっと見ていると平衡感覚が狂う。非常に独特の雰囲気。交差点の脇の建物だから、このビルに用がなくても脇で足を止めた人はものすごくたくさんいただろう。でもそのうちの何人がこの「角度」に気付いて、目を留めただろう。（ここはオフィスビルだから、このビルに用があってくる人は、建物の細部になどほとんど注意を払わないと考えるのが妥当だろう。その日の商談やミーティングの内容のことを考えていて。）
1階部分のオフィス／店舗への入り口。植物系のモチーフと思われるのだが、なぜなのかがわからない。建築家の先生が、いくら大御所とはいえ、フリーダムすぎる。

The sign beside the pillar reads Dai-Ichi-Sei-Mei (第一生命), which is called Dai-ichi Life in English. It is one of Japan's leading life insurance companies.

This is an entrance to the underground (subway) station. Obviously the architect/designer's inspiration was the art-nouveau Paris Metro entrance.

京橋三丁目ビル (Kyobashi 3 Chome Building), built in 1978, is a piece of work by one of the top architects in Japan, 村野藤吾 (1891-1984: MURANO, Togo).
The area is being re-developed. The notice says they start demolishing of this building on 28th September 2009. (And still, there's this plant coming out!) Hurry up if you want to take pictures.
