Well, Mitsubishi Group is a HUGE syndicate. There are Mitsubishi Bank, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Motors, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi
Chemical, Mitsubishi Estate, and so on... The group began in the late 19th century, right after Japan opened itself.
