From top left:
New York Dolls movie, A movie from Asia (I don't remember the title!), The Old Crocodile, Dust to Glory, Midnight Movies, Layer Cake, Rokkasho-mura Rhapsody, Hello, Goodbye (in Korean: sorry I can't type the letters), and one more.

Aunts' Soldiers (a domumentary about a former Japanese solder whose boss didn't tell him about the end of the war but told to keep fighting, when he was in China. Thus, he has been recognised as a "volunteer" in the Chinese civil war.)
The Sun (directed by a Russian directer, Aleksandr Sokurov, this film was said not to be shown in Japan, but finally, yes. This film portlays Emperor Hirohito as a constant gardener.)
Advance tickets of the films/movies around the world - British, French, American, Chinese, Korean, Japanese...
So I went to see the film "Breakfast on Pluto" on the 14th July, which was the last day, and I couldn't take pictures of the great sign, a overwhelmingly pink still photo of Patricia "Kitten" Braden.
My review of the film is in my blog (in Japanese). The director, Neil Jordan, said in an inverview that Voltair's Candide was in his mind, and I could see it, though Voltaire was 100% sarcastic when he wrote the novel!
Nissan (automobile), Sapporo (beer) and Vodafone (mobile). Sapporo Breweries Ltd is one of the top three breweries in Japan, and they import Guinness (a global brand).
There was a small group of tourist from North America (according to their accent) next to me, who were also taking pictures. And I felt like I was a visitor too, though I live in Tokyo.
You can see a lot of these "text news board" in Tokyo. The text moves slow enough to read, but in the case of night photograpy, it just gets like this. The news was about baseball, if I remember correctly. (Totally unreadable even though I am a native Japanese speaker.)
bluuuuuur...
ECC is an established language school in Japan for Japanese people: E for Education, C for Communication, and C for Community, according to this page... Ummm, I believed it was English Conversation Classes!

Here I wrote about the summer heat on the Underground. Most of Japan's overground and underground trains are fully air-conditioned and the travel guidebooks are using oldish data about the temperature, like "22 degrees celcius in July", so basically Japanese people aren't prepared for what it is like to be on the tube on a hot summer day.

My book (revised); proof-reading... It was me who decided this font size five years ago when it was first published, and now, I kind of regret my decision... So small that proof-reading is like hell!

Thierry Henri talks to Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch after the semi final match (France 1 - 0 Portugal). From the Japanese broadcast.
I heard that this scene was not seen on the BBC.

And the BBC has been telling Japan's Hidetoshi Nakata has retired from "international football", which is simply wrong. He has retired from football at the age of 29. No longer will he play as a professional football player.
Live broadcast from Germany to Japan, with a Frenchman who is a London club's coach. (BTW he used to be Nagoya's coach, and the club had Gary Lineker for one year.)

At the end of the show, they were talking a bit about the Brazil - Japan match, starting in three hours.
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger in Germany appears as a part-time football pundit on Japan's Fuji TV Network (22 June, 2006; Czech Republic - Italy match).
After the match, when asked which team would be throught to the final, and who would get the Golden Boots, Mr Wenger said with a smile that he was not a prophet but a coach, but that Brazil versus Germany match on 9 July would be highly possible, and that Fernando Torres and Miroslav Close would score many more goals.
Next to the Arsenal coach is Mr Kabira, a famous sport news guy who does not need a translator (bilingual).

A sister cat of the other one, I believe. They are very often together, and contrary to her sister, this one seems to think of me as her good neighbour. She often talks to me when I'm passing by.
A house that is probably 40 years old. A Tokyo scene (typical). But one thing that is not very typical is that the owner of this house painted the outside wall white. People very usually concrete block walls as they are.
